I've purchased and wasted my fair share of $ in the past on pens. This Ridge is a keeper. I was pleasantly shocked at the smoothness (is that a word?) as the pen effortlessly gilded across the paper. As goofy as that sounds, it got my attention. Grip-wise, it is textured but still feels a bit slick, but good for placing the pen back in the shirt sleeve pen pocket. And speaking of pocketing the pen, with the bolt action, you can push it back into your pocket w/o engaging the ink. The clip holds the pen right where you put it. If you're on the fence, let me say, i'd buy this pen again.

This is by far the best pen I have ever had, I wish it lasted longer but I guess 100 years will do!
The movement is so smooth and it feels great in your hand the ink flows and writes nicely
